Venues
The Manchester League use two different venues for league games:
Tuesday Night
Our second team's league games are played on Tuesday evenings at Parrs Wood High School in East Didsbury (see map). The (almost equally important) post match venue is the Gateway pub.
Wednesday Night
First team league games are played on Wednesday evenings at Wythenshawe Sports Ground.
From Sale Moor (J6): Go East along Northenden Road, which becomes Sale Road. After the second pedestrian crossing turn left into Yew Tree Lane. Immediately before the end of Yew Tree Lane turn left into Willenhall Road. Continue under the Motorway, then turn immediately left to drive parallel with the M60. The club house is about 600 yards down this road. The car park is in front of the club house.
From Northenden (J5): Go West along Sale Road (bear right at the lights immediately after joining the road). After the pedestrian crossing turn right into Rackhouse Road, then right again into Yew Tree Lane. Immediately before the end of Yew Tree Lane turn left into Willenhall Road. Continue under the Motorway, then turn immediately left to drive parallel with the M60. The club house is about 600 yards down this road. The car park is in front of the club house. For Sat Nav use an M23 0DT postcode, this is Willenhall Road, apparently if you use the sort code for the actual fields some Sat Navs will guide you to the hard shoulder of the M60, not ideal.
If you are traveling by Bus there are two ways of getting to the grounds. The first is to get off on Sale Road (18,19,41), walk down Fellpark Road and cross over the M60 by the footbridge. The second (99, 101, 104, 105) is to get off a bus from the City Centre on the Parkway just after it goes under the M60, cross the parkway by the footbridge, then walk down to Willenhall Road via either Yew Tree Lane or the buses only lane on the west side of the Parkway, turn right down Willenhall Road (to go under the M60), then turn left and walk down the access road to the fields.
On the tram travel to Northern Moor station and you can access the grounds via Fellpark Road and the foot bridge over the M60.
